Those who know me well will know that I'm a tight-wad. Mr Frugal, that's me. If I go out for a pint for the lads I'm usually the one who suddenly has to tie his shoe lace on the way into the pub. :) So, to find some new free software is always a bonus :)

Here in Europe we've seen HTC stand up as a phone manufacturer - not just a company who makes phones for other people (like the Orange SPV range, T-Mobile MDA range etc). However, in the USA there's still a lot of rebranding going on so now HTC have announced a huge marketing campaign to promote the brand.

Oppsey. It looks like Engadget have managed to grab more news on upcoming HTC kit. The HTC Diamond is showing as the replacement to the HTC Touch, whilst the HTC Raphael is the replacement for the HTC Mogul. Both units, even in these grainy leaked images, appear to be very similar apart from the slide-out QWERTY in the HTC Raphael.

I'm lucky enough to be an MVP - it's an award from Microsoft which you can read more about here. Every year they send a little gift out, and this year it's these Bluetooth headphones. They've been languishing in a box for a number of weeks as I couldn't really see me being a fan, but yesterday I decided to try them out.

microSD cards. They're great. Whack one in your phone and you can get up to 8Gb (provided your phone is SDHC compatible) in seconds. Wait though, because there's another use for that slot (ahem) - you can put a microSD WiFi card in.
